The gratin must be melt-in-the-mouth but the potatoes must remain firm. <strong>And it works really well with plant-based milk and cream!<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h2><strong>How do you make a good lactose-free gratin dauphinois?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #c50078;\"><strong>Step 1 - Ingredients :<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For 4 people:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>1 kg firm-fleshed potatoes.<\/li>\r\n<li>1 clove of garlic.<\/li>\r\n<li>40 cl oat milk<\/li>\r\n<li>40 cl cream of oatmeal.<\/li>\r\n<li>Lactose-free margarine.<\/li>\r\n<li>1\/2 nutmeg.<\/li>\r\n<li>Black pepper.<\/li>\r\n<li>Salt.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color: #c50078;\">Stage 2 - preparation :<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Preheat your oven to 150\u00b0c.\r\n\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Peel the potatoes and rinse them in clean water. Cut them into thin slices with a knife or a mandolin. Do not put the potatoes back into the water once they have been sliced.\r\n\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Rub a baking dish with the halved garlic clove and brush the dish with margarine. Lay the potatoes flat in the dish in several layers.\u00a0\r\n\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>In a bowl, mix the oat milk, oat cream, grated nutmeg, two grindings of black pepper and a pinch of salt.\r\n\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Cover the potatoes with the cream and milk mixture. You should just see small potato wedges sticking out.\u00a0\r\n\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Bake in the oven for 2 to 2 1\/2 hours.
